Research

I have been involved in doing research about cultural identity and its impacts on socio-economic and political arena across the nation and abroad. The research work recently completed (in 2017) “Causes and Consequences of Madhesh Movement 2015” is a detail analysis of the reasons behind regional conflicts of Nepal and its impacts in socio-economic and political system of Nepal. Other researches I have done are about the borderland, cultural identity, and contestation across Nepal-India border. Cultural Identity is one of the major reasons to create socio-political conflict. The concept of National identity politically constructed is a driving force of the people across the border that sometimes goes beyond the cultural bond and create violent conflict. My other researches include such conflicts created across the political border within the similar cultural identity spaces.
